“Keeper of the Thicket”
People’s Choice Award winner at Grayson Gallery, October 2026. This painting was also featured on the Ashland Daily Independent website on October, 28, 2026.
Nestled within a dense forest lives a bird with a watchful eye. It guards its home from all who draw near.
This painting is dark and moody, yet packed with color! Depending on the lighting, it can appear darker or vibrant and colorful (see all of the attached photos). It was so much fun to create.
Oil painting on a 24×30 birch panel, this is a substantial piece, the panel is 2.5” thick. The edges of the painting will be painted matte black and a hanging wire will be installed prior to purchase. As with all of my paintings, this will be finished with a coat of Gamvar gloss varnish.
This painting is currently on display at Grayson Gallery during October-November 2026
