12×12 oil on premium, gallery wrap canvas.
It’s the first week of fall and I have been seeing colorful leaves starting to appear on the ground. It was difficult to decide which color to paint the leaf, but I really enjoy the pop of yellow and tiny touches of orange against the indigo rippling water. The thick, impasto texture of the leaf, against the smooth, moving water gives this piece a lot of character. The coolness of this dramatic blue background creates a versatile fall painting that could actually be displayed all year long.
This painting will arrive framed and ready to hang in a black floater style frame.
Thank you for looking!
This painting is currently on display at Grayson Gallery during October-November 2026.
