PLEASE READ: THIS PAINTING WILL BE ON DISPLAY AT THE HIGHLANDS MUSEUM IN ASHLAND, KENTUCKY UNTIL JANUARY 1, 2027. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PURCHASING, DELIVERY WILL BE COMPLETED AFTER THE EXHIBITION HAS ENDED IN EARLY JANUARY.
Inspired by well-known glass made right here in central Appalachia! I own this exact water bottle and I love seeing the way the light reflects from the bumpy texture of the glass. The texture of the Blenko 384 bottle is created by blowing Liquid Glass into a hand carved wooden mold. Painting the light reflections and refractions on this piece was super fun. I decided to keep the background simple, to allow the teal bottle to be the star of the show.
Original oil painting featuring a teal Blenko 384 water bottle and a plate of oranges. Framed and ready to hang in a black floater frame.
Canvas measures 20×20
